March 21, 2022 - AATI Conference Webpage Update

Over the last 24 hours we have made significant changes to the AATI Conference Webpage. Please be sure to review the new links found here: AATI @ Lucca Website.

In addition, we wanted to let you know that some items must be reserved and/or purchased via the Fondazione Campus website. This includes lunch on site, the Gala (closing) dinner, a special Puccini event prepared just for IASA & AATI members, and the welcome reception.

Since Lucca is small and space is tight, Fondazione Campus has asked that reservations for any off-site events be made ahead of time. Not all reservations/events require a payment, just a head count. This will allow the Fondazione to make sure there will be space for everyone.

At this time, the Fondazione’s payment system is not set up, but we will let you know as soon as it is!

Finally, we expect that the conference program will be finished and posted online this weekend. Please note that IASA and AATI have members that belong to both organizations. As a result, we have several members who are presenting different papers for each organization. This overlap, plus the needs of the Keynote Speakers and special guests, require a slower and more detailed, collaborative approach to the program creation. The committee members of both organizations thank you for your patience.

Feb. 9, 2022 - Conference Update

Greetings to all!

I hope this email finds you well and hopefully thriving this semester. I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to update everyone on our upcoming conference in Lucca.

First, the AATI Conference Committee would like to thank everyone for their patience as we try to plan a major event during a global pandemic. In light of this, we have been working to make sure that the path is cleared for an in-person conference.

I am happy to report that as I write, we are “all systems go” for our conference. Over the weekend – barring any technical difficulties – we will be updating the AATI website with specifics about the conference. In addition, we hope to open up the registration and payment system as well, in the next week or two.

We are working in tandem with 2 other organizations, so again, I’d like to stress that sometimes getting answers does not happen as easily or as quickly as we’d like. We are doing our best, however.

Second, all acceptance letters have been sent out to panel chairs and those who proposed individual papers. We ask that panel chairs make sure that the acceptance letters are sent to each member of their sessions, so folx can use these letters for PD funding or turn into administration if requested. If you have not received anything, I would ask you to first kindly check your junk/spam folders, and then to email this address: aaticonferencecommittee@gmail.com, if you have not received any notification regarding the conference.

I will be back in touch early next week to update you on the website.

In the meantime, I think we can start getting excited, even if just a little bit, about seeing each other face to face in Lucca.
